Comrade Joti reports live from Venezuela on George Galloway’s MoATs

Is it true that the country has been brought to a standstill by US sanctions and government ineptitude?

Comrade Joti Brar, vice-chair of the CPGB-ML, talks to George Galloway live from Venezuela after attending the First International Meeting of Workers in Solidarity with the Government and People of Venezuela.

Joti reports on the spirit of the people she’s met in her short visit to the country, and the atmosphere of optimism despite difficulties as workers engage themselves in the business of running the state and building a better life for themselves.

She describes their resilience against the hardships created by the US’s suffocating economic sanctions and blockade, their determination to continue with social programmes such as the great housing mission and the delivery of free education and subsidised food to workers, and their will to resist by every means all the US’s attempts to overthrow the popular government of President Nicolás Maduro.

This show was aired to a worldwide audience on George Galloway’s increasingly popular Mother of All Talkshows (MoATS), on Sputnik Radio, Sunday 1 September 2019.
